This stick is sooooo sexy. But I'm not used to that kind of layout. Plus, it will be useless for SF3:TS.
On the contrary, the NeoGeo pad to be released with KOF 94 Rebout seems perfect...
Great! It's a very good thing for the next KOF (re-) port on PS2.

I liked the NG Stick more than the pad. Still, there won't be much use for this stick other than KOF. I guess you could play GGXX with it too, but it would be wierd.

I don't think the extra buttons could be any more useless.

It boggles my mind to think that a group of people created and approved that stick in the belief that it would sell. Would it have killed them to make a second row of buttons?

Perhaps its me, but I find that button layout to be positively horrid.

Is there any doubt that this stick, while it may look like a Neo stick, will be made of vastly inferior parts?

Man, don't be a black cat !
I agree with Click, the additional buttons are useless and have a weird layout.

But what do you even NEED the extra buttons for if you'reo nly going to use it for NeoGeo games. After all, they wouldn't want you to use it for something else. You need to buy the GGXX controller to play GGXX and the Capcom controller to play Capcom games.

Then why did the Soul Calibur 2 controller have a 2x4 button layout?

This is a question for Namco, not for me.

You mean the Horii sticks of Calibur 2 and Tekken 4, which have 6 buttons ?

I never understood the appeal of a Neo-Geo stick... they get worn down fast and are unresponsive at times. Give me a solid Hori stick anyday over the Neo Geo stick.
And the shoulder buttons seem to be in the way. Not to mention the shape of them look awkward.

I believe Battle Coliseum will use 5 button. 4 button for punch and kick, and 1 for tag. Just like KOF Neowave, with 1 extra button for Heat Mode. Why they add additional buttons? Why not! For me, I love the original NeoGeo Stick (and NeoGeo Stick from NeoGeo CD). It suit me well for fighting game. I want to use it to play any Street Fighter and Guilty Gear game too.
