A new character designer for the Tales series. After Fujishima Kenshuke and Inomata Mutsumi, guess who's going to draw.

It makes me think of something between One Piece and some regular Nomura garbage...
I've done a bet with the brother in law of one of them : if I win, he'll have to give me the best bottle of wine in his cave (and we'll drink it while bitching about what a jerk his brother in law is).

ARGH! I don't need another Tales game! *sobs* I have too many games!
Maybe it'll be for DS or something, so I won't have to freak out.

Speaking of too many games, I really didn't expect to like Shadow of Rome so much, which only makes things worse.

Same goes for me.

And could I ask you if your thumbs hurt after playing? For some reason I press the buttons REALLY hard for those charge moves, swinging a heavy weapon in this game really seems to translate through the controller.

Hahaha...well, maybe I get a little more into it than usual, but I've never hurt my thumbs playing a game before. I used to break a nail every time I played KOF in an arcade, though.

The game would be enjoyable enough just for all of the absurd scenarios that can happen, but it also plays surprisingly well. If only the music didn't totally suck...

Oh, and back on topic, I wonder if this is just going to be the Tales of..Me...ermm...the one they had the preview for that didn't show you much. What system was that supposed to be on?

I don't think anybody knows. But back off topic, I like the music... but find that it loops too frequently. Some people are down on Octavianus' stealth sections, but I find they have enough entertaining moments... such as dressing up like a maid and completely fooling guards.

I wish everyone looked as cool as the hero, but you can't have you cake and eat it too, I suppose (since the hero is frequently the lamest character in so many RPGS). The environments look interesting, but I prefer 2D ones. I'm mostly just anticipating info about the battle system.

Regardless...this is WAY too soon. I haven't even gotten to ToR yet, outside of watching the opening movie(s). My implication isn't that Namco should halt their production based on my needs, but I think this is ridiculous.

Nakazawa Kazuto, the new designer, is the creator of the Samurai Champloo characters as well.
