Release Date: Spring 2005 System: NAOMI GD-ROM Officail Site: http://www.grev.co.jp/ronde/index.html
Yes, G.rev are finally giving us something to play after Border Down. Senko Ronde will have 7 playable characters and each character has his own unique robot. Each character will have different move list.
Since I can't read Japanese, could someone be kind and translate the Game System located here?: http://www.grev.co.jp/ronde/system.htm The page contains lots of info 'bout the gameplay, bosses and stages.
Well, that's not all. A bonus soundtrack will be availabe just right before the release date and the composer of the OST is Yasuhisa Watanabe -Yack.- Yasuhisa Watanabe is the composer of both Border Down and Darius serious.
So, let's hope this game can make it to the Dreamcast.

Don't people know that the only schmups that matter are those made by Treasure. Everything else is just ick!

Well, not really new anymore... it's been known since last year.
EDIT: The image album has already been released... It's not bad. Definitely preferable to Border Down thus far, but the CD only has four total tracks.
And it's not really a shooter anyway.

I enjoyed the first track a lot personally, it's what I listen while updating my site. By the way, the booklet lists who's theme is each one? (assuming that each character has his own song/stage)

Yea, that's the thing. I'm not a huge shooter fan, partially because my reflexes are not good enough, and partially because I'm not that great at memorizing stuff in shooting games.
But I think this idea is great... a shooter/fighting game. =) I mean, reflexes would be important as well as strategy... and I could see it being much more entertaining than memorizing enemy position and stuff like that...
I guess I'm weird though, I don't like memorizing stuff in a shooter but as far as music games I really like memorizing stuff =) Maybe because the music goes along with everything...

I really don't see how you can't say the same about the hell that is Dodonpachi Dai-ou-jou.
And besides, it's not as though Ikaruga is the ONLY game they've ever made.

But in one of the two traditional shooters they've made, Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga. Also Bangaioh, I know, but that plays more like a crazier Cybernator.

The real question is, is it going to be better than Touhou Musou?

There is a six+ page black and white character art feature in the new ARCADIA with background stories and all that good stuff...
Look for some... stuff... over there.... in a couple days.
