Comments: Considering that this is only round 1 of the tourney, the competition has been intense. Many of the winners barely won over 50% of the votes, with only a few votes away from causing upsets. However, many still pulled through, and only one upset was created for this round - Shermie(KOF)’s win over Hinako(KOF).
All the “top seeds” in each group made it through even though they had to face an extra challenger for this round, but they had no easy wins either, especially for Baiken (GG), who only won by 2 votes over her challengers.
Still, there were some winners who just breezed through this round, including Jam(GG)’s win over Anna (Tekken Advance) with 80%, and Sakura(Street Fighter) over Reimi (VG) with 90% of the votes. How well they will perform against the better ranking seeds in the next round is anybody’s guess.
