Argh, why not make this game for the DS? Those screenshots aren't very impressive. Very reminiscent of Advance Guardian Heros, which was a horrible, HORRIBLE game.

That's about how I'm feeling, but as long as it plays well... I'd really rather have it on a console though.

With Cell Shaded graphics and insane 3D transitions... like Radiant Silvergun or Ikaruga!

Hmmm yeah, I didn't expect this game to be released on GBA. It may have been said before, but I didn't keep track. Thinking about it, no matter what the system would have been, I wouldn't have been happy. Unless they released it on NeoGeo, Atomiswave, or something like that... *rolls eyes*
I'll pass on this one.

high res 2D on the PSP...I'd have gone for that. I mean...who knows, maybe they'll push the boundaries of what the system can do, but they sure didn't do that with any of their other GBA games.

Or a system with equal or better resolution than the original... still, it's too early to give an opinion on this, let's wait and see. GH is my favorite 16 bit game so of course this will dissapoint me in a way or another, but I want to wait and judge it for its strenghts, if it has (and I'm sure it does).

I liked Advance Guardian Heroes. Its a good game, except that it was so far removed from the original theme and concept. I thought the counter attack gameplay worked and the slowdown wasn't too bad. The original Guardian Heroes had even worst slowdown.
If it plays as good as Astro Boy I'm in.

You say that as though Astro Boy was a BAD game.

No, I say that as though the game didn't push the GBA very hard. That's what I said, and I'll stick to it!
Astroboy wasn't bad, it just bored me.

I think Astroboy wasn't that bad, in fact, I found it quite entertaining (I didn't get tired of playing till I completed the whole secret char collection).
I haven't played Guardian Heroes Advance, but I think this Gunstar looks much better, and I find it more similar to Alien Soldier than the original GH (according to sprite proportions). I hope not to miss this one...

I really don't know the source of all these complaints. Sure, maybe a couple of Treasure's last few games haven't worked out -- but Treasure's done good work with shooters, be they the flying or running kind. I've got good faith in 'em here with Gunstar Super Heroes.
I just hope there's at least a two-player option.

Well, at the very least, you can have it on a TV with Game Boy Player... but you know that already.

I guess for me it has to do with not having been very excited by any of their games since ikaruga.

I suggest we wait the playstation 3 to display better and more acceptable 2D graphics, really. And ANIMATED if possible...
