Biggity Biggity Bam. I really didn't expect this game to even be seriously shown this year, this is pretty nuts. Though, I've seen valid doubts that as to how there'd even be footage for something like this seeing as it's pretty got-damn early in development and it might just be artwork and crappy quotes to speculate on. That doesn't sound like a Metal Gear showing to me though.

At any rate, Kojima's original title should probably be the thing to look forward to here. So, we'll see.

Gotta say though, I'm not too hot on this talk of Meryl coming back.

THERE'S NO PLACE TO HIDEO when they decide to do boring things like that.

I thought I read somewhere that 3 was the last of the "Solid" series and the nextgen will have a different subtitle? Maybe I read wrong.

I don't really expect much out of this expect of course for the long string of simple quotes that might or might not elude to the TRUE story or gameplay of the next game.

No one actually said it was the last Solid, per se, it was just how it came to be interpreted. But, even whatever he meant back then seems to be BS now as the few things said about the game elude to it definitely being a direct continuation of things anyway.

Apparently MGS4's script is still being written by Kojima.

Also, there's going to be an MG3 Substance-like version coming.

Sigh...nevermind maybe.

Kojima Productions
Metal Gear AC!D 2
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
Metal Gear Solid 4

Well, this turned out way more interesting than I expected. Kinda wore myself out of rambling about it though, lucky you. So, check it out.

Turns out that trailer was pretty funny anyway. If the .asx doesn't work, check this.

From Gamespot:

"Our prayers have been answered--Metal Gear Solid 4 is on the way. Well, OK, we already knew about it, but seeing "MGS4" and "PS3" in giant letters up on a big screen is another matter entirely. The game is being created by Kojima Productions, the new development studio formerly known as Konami Computer Entertainment Japan and being headed up by legendary designer Hideo Kojima himself. And yeah, he happens to be directing the game, despite rumors to the contrary."

AHAHAHAH! I LOVE IT!

Damn funny ass Trailer...

News about Metal Gear Solid: Subsistence interests me greatly. The news that there is going to be a free roaming camera was enough to sell me on the game since the fixed camera in MGS3 drove me insane. But it's going to include the MSX versions of MG and MG2 as well? Now it's a must-buy.

MGS4 looks like it might have quite the cast as well. Did somebody go and revive Big Boss or is that some other old, naked one-eyed guy? But where's Mei Ling?

He's finally ditching the old school MGS camera ... sad but good at the same time...
