After watching the NxC full intro I'm intrigued, anybody knows if Gainax worked on it? the style is somewhat similar to some of their latest works, like FLCL, Re:CH or Top Wo Nerae 2!

I believe Production IG, from Stand Alone Complex, worked on this game.

Yeah, they also worked on Furikuri. Man, this game is looking more and more ridiculous. It looks nice to WATCH, but I don't know about gameplay. Do the enemies...you know...attack you?

I've heard that the gameplay is very similar to Super Robot Wars but I can't say how accurate that it.
Has Namco said anything about the US localization of this title? I'm honor bound to buy it, but I don't want to import this then have to buy the domestic one too.

Well, you can watch the videos and tell that it's different than SRW (the way you link attacks), though I've heard it's similarly non-thought-provoking, easy and potential-wasting. Oh well...we'll know in a few days.
Even if it ends up being a lame game, I'm completely satisfied with fanservice alone. From the event scenes, the script looks like fun.

I'd buy the game right now even if it didn't have playable game portions, as the story scenes intrest me that much.
In fact I'd say it might be better if they just release it without a game and go for the story portions. But that's just me...
