Anybody else played this Dreamcast sooter? Got it from a friend and it's great, beautiful backgrounds, imaginative bosses, innovative but intuitive gameplay... It's a shame it's so short, but it really surprised me.

Yeah I played it a lot back then.

Hokum is mad strong.
Apache's bomb takes too darned long to build. Good when there's only like 1-5 things on the screen to kill. Comanche's bomb was nice if only because you get scads of them easily. Waiting for crystals to form on enemies was funny. Killing bosses by blading them was funny too.

I loved how every turns into a giant robot somehow. Too bad your copters can't.

Some months ago, my university arcade got it and a bunch of other old shooters (Strikers, ESPrade, Dragon Blaze) for no apparent reason.

ZG2 is a real departure from the first game but it is very fun. It's also the only shooter I can think of where the strategy for beating most of the bosses consists of ramming your copter into their armpit.
