It has already started in China and arrives September in Japan.
Discuss.
it seems to me that they're trying to cover wayy too much, in the process skipping lesser but still awesome events, that's from the trailer though, I won't know until I watch it. but the trailer alone shows the FC3S battle, the R32 battle, and the LANEVO-III battle. those happen over a pretty far stretch of time in the anime (and I assume manga) and they're going to cram it into 120 minutes? takumi is supposed to get gradually better, not be an outright driving god right away. but this means they're skipping important character development as well as some of the funner races like the tape-deathmatch, rain battle, and the sileighty battle (this also means less hot chicks in cast). I would have been happy if they just focused on the first few races, ending with the ryuusuke battle. all that being said, I'm still going to watch it.
I wonder if... 1) they work at the GS (GasStation) 2) mogi is still a whore 3) nakazato crashes his R32. night kids suck, so they always crash. I swear, it became a running joke in the anime, they sucked so bad. 4) takumi loses to the EVO and gets POWERUP since there show the AE86 with carbon fiber hood in the trailer.
finally - I hate the music. needs more eurobeat. whenever I hear hip-hop with initial D I think of the horrible "INITIALIZE YOUR DREAMS" theme from the tokyopop dub.

haha, whoops! well - they're still good!
[edit] I don't hate the music. hopefully it'll have some jordan chan in it, which it should, since he's acting.
Next, I see in here that they're working at the gas station in one shot.
I do think they chose the wrong guy to race the skyline, but whatever.
Also, in the anime it DOES start with takumi being good - his improvement is done through a flashback episode. That's probably what will happen here.
Yeah. Our bad. Nya ha ha.
I see the gas station. I agree that the guy that'll play as Nakazato isn't the best candidate, but I could care less about that. Whether or not I'll happen to see Keisuke, I don't know. If he's not in, Nakazato's Takumi's first opponent, I take it.
