I just made a review of "FFVII" yesterday and the movie just popped into my mind today. That and this question.
Do Cloud, Tifa, Sephiroth, Aerith, Yuffie and Vincent keep their original seiyuu (Chiba Isshin-san, Minaguchi Yuuko-san, Sakamoto Maaya-san, Kakazu Yumi-san and I don't recall who played as Vincent)? I heard from a friend of mine that the kid who played as Yuzuyu in "Aishiteru ze Baby" (whose name I don't remember) plays as Marlene.

Since I haven't seen Gundam Seed for some reasons (UGLY MECHA!!!), is she good as a seiyuu? She's great as a singer, yes, but singing and acting are different things.

Personally I think she brings a down-to-earth style that's refreshing among all the ones who go for super-cutsey-high-pitched or various extremes - she never sounds like she's altering her voice, so to speak, so it's pretty recognizeable. She was also Hitomi in Escaflowne, and I THINK she was in Wolf's Rain but I could be mistaken.

I know she was on the wolf's rain soundtrack... but yeah, you pretty much hit it on the head with that one. she just sounds natural, not squeaky like so many other seiyuu. I imagined aeris sounding like belldandy. who played her in kingdom hearts? mandy moore? its been so long.

Sakamoto in the Japanese version, Mandy Moore in the English version.
It's kind of funny you mention that too, I always found the similarity between them as well.
