I really didn't like the music from the original, I always played with the sound off...kind of disappointed that they're doing it the same way again, but I don't play handheld games with the music on that often anyway.

Thread hijack since the other thread about this game has left the first page and this thread has the cool music. Anyway, I finally got to try out Graffiti Kingdom. The game's story is disposable and would be the sort of thing I would label as "kiddie" if that wasn't an insult to kids. I'm not sure why the Ghibli styled soothing atmosphere of the first game was dropped but I was suprised to find how much I miss it. The action in the game is better than the guessing game of Pengel but that doesn't mean it's particulary great. What sells the GK, however, is the ability to draw your own characters.
The drawing controls are a lot more forgiving and refined than it was in Pengel. It's also much more generous with supplies. Right off the bat I was able to create a vaguely humanoid creature and color it whatever I wanted. While I'm not sure I'll ever be as good as this guy is at creating in-game drawings I do currently have this big beaver like thing that grunts and kicks people in the stomach so I'm happy.
So has anybody else tried out the game? Any tips on how to create drawings that don't look like they are melting?
