It isn't new, but finally got to see the first ova of Karas, and I have to say, I'm quite impressed. The 3d animation was used wisely, the direction was confusing but worked, the designwork was specially impressive.
Visually I can't think in anything that worked so well lately, besides maybe Yukikaze and Top Wo Nerae 2.
The kind of thing you can expect after Soultaker and the Casshern movie, I guess. Tatsunoko made me happy again.
Anybody else has seen it?

I recently got the first OVA, and the introduction/opening sequence impressed me deeply. I haven't seen the whole thing, but I found it really appealing and innovative (well, it's not that pseudo-tekkaman fights are something fresh and new, but those in Karas looks way better than any other one I've ever seen).
BTW, how many Karas OVAs were planned? I think I someone told me they were about 4, but I don't remember the exact number...
