Even though Playmore has a record of making relatively shitty fighting games (+ 1 bad MS game), I guess it would be much easier to make something that is turn-based like CFC... No need to worry about gameplay, timing, controls, hit boxes... Can they really screw up something like that ? We'll find out, if it's a new game.

Balance, AI. art. general presentation.
I'm with Iggy on this one, even if it is just a port I'm fine with it. Though I wouldn't mind seeing them trying something brand new, or at LEAST maybe adding more cards one each side.
Hell I was thinking about it, if they were going for an original title it'd be kind of cool if they did something akin to Jump Superstars and had a 2D fighter mixed with card gameplay. Just a thought, but I would welcome a simple port maybe beef the graphics up a bit. Oh and the article at 1up seems to suggest it's a new game, they're not too sure either, and they just show the cover from the first NGPC game.

Those were my thoughts exactly. But I don't see a 2 anywhere in the title so I'm not so excited yet. Maybe they'll pull a SF Collection and release both CFC1 and 2? Damn, now I'm getting my hopes up. *slaps self*

Chances are they'll make it a new game, or at least upgrade it: SNKP will certainly use this game to promote without effort recent SNKP characters like Ash.

Having Yoshitora and pals in a new CFC would rock.

As long as Jun Kagami is in it, I'll be happy.

Ah, jeez...I wonder if Falcoon is gonna do all the art. I guess the card battle art wasn't really better than his anyway, so it's not a big deal.

My goodness, is that Falcoon ever a fatty.
Every time I see him, I giggle a little.
EDIT: Oh right, new CFC, why not? As long as Kisarah and other weird unused characters make it in.

Since they said they wanted to make a World Heroes compilation after Ryûkô, those might be likely candidates as well.
And I guess they'll reuse (at least some) art, like the action cards in CF2 : drawing 500 tiny pictures is not something easy.

Falcoon was one of the Card Artists in CFC2 (and he designed the original characters too). So it seems only right for him to be invloved with the new game.
I hope they find a way to use the likes of Hiroaki, Shinkiro, Kinu, Akiman and even other new artists like Nona to do the "Special" cards like in CFC2.

We won't know until we see screenshots. I mean there's a huge difference between 16Bit Graphics and 64 Bit Graphics. It would be a cool unlockable though if they somehow put them in.

Yesss, this game gonna make me buy two DS's, for sake of playing competitive.
I hope snkp add characters from new games like NBC, SS Tenka, KOF XI, SF4 and others. Im not holding my breath . It will be so sweet playing it competitive even if its smthng near the earlier ones.

We still don't know if Capcom really plans a SF4 releasing... But it would be great if this rumor is true!

If there is a SF4 in the makings, you can be certain that CFDS will have SF4 characters. CF2 was released slightly before CvS2 but still had Eagle, Maki and God Rugal, so it's obvious that there's lots of communication and cooperation over those games.

Actually CFC2 came several months after CvS2 reached arcades, and several weeks after the DC version came out.

I just realized, with the DS's capabilities, no one has mentioned the possibility of Online Play (Online enabled Animal Crossing and Telegame's games out in December will be some of the first online games for the DS, with more coming next year)
Just a thought.

It can't be hard either, at the scale and complexity demanded here. A professional illustrator ought to be able to whip them out like nothing. And if they have more than one illustrator working on the game, that just speeds things up even more.

I will trade you my gay sex appeal for one week, when I get to france. though then you might not attract the kind you like!
