"Help: Magna Carta PS2 Artbook" , posted Fri 18 Nov 10:23post reply

Hello,

I only wanted to post this before shelling out $50.00 on a game.

Does anyone know if the illustrations are
similar to Hyung-Tae-Kim's Book, Hyung Tae Kim Illustrations?

I've been going crazy asking people at 3
stores already if they had an open copy to see the art, and they didnt have one.

If the illustrations are not similar to the one in the book, are there any website scans of it?

Thanks

Mr. Sushi.

OK, as far as I know, PS2 artbook contains mainly OXIDE2 art of Tears of Blood (characters and enemies designs, some artwork, landscapes).

There is a torrent out there for Hyung Tae Kim's artbooks. Just look for it (or PM me).

Well, I just bought the game and the book contains 2D illustrations as well as 3D renditions of the characters plus the various towns and stages within the game. (plus strategy guide) The package also contains a giant double sided poster. One side featuring Calintz and Reith (I may have misspelled their names) and the other side featuring a group shot of 6 characters. I will be posting up my impressions of the game soon.

Well that's interesting! I hope that for the europeand release (in february!!! >__<) they keep the artbook package (something I find, sadly, not willing to happen).

Waiting for the reviews! ^^

Hey,

Please email me the information about the Hyung-Tae-Kim artbooks that I can find online. My email is:

mangakabobby@yahoo.com.

I'm trying to make my artwork look as good as his.. I got the Megacity 808 comics and bought them for his tutorials. I feel guilty buying them because it's almost as much as buying a meal.

His work is very advanced, and I find it one of the worthwhile artists to emulate his coloring style from.

Thanks so much

Bob (Mr.Sushi)

Hey,

Thanks for your email. Got it today. Gonna ask my brother if he can find it cuz he has dsl and I have crappy dial-up.

BTW, I rented MC from Gamefly, so I am royally happy.

Regards,

Mr. Sushi

Don't mention it ´n___n`

I also love Tae-Kim's artwork and I think that he is a very good influence for any drawer. I like a lot the way he blends futuristic aspects with ancient japanese ones personally. He is really a crack.

Aside the fact that Oxide2X is the japanese version of korean Oxide2, there are multiple illustrations that do not appear in either artbooks.

As far as I know, there is "Io: Art of the wired" and "Act III Scene 8", according to the infamous site hxxp://hyung-taekim.org/index.php , which I recommend you take a look at ^^

I don't understand what you mean, but let not that stop me from adding this info :

In Oxide2, you see the different steps from sketch to full colors, just for this illustration : http://xcomic.diy.myrice.com/pic/kht/mc/character/chelsea.jpg

Glad to help :)
