Um... I'm still not 100% clear on how this online Mario Kart works. Do you have to sign up and pay in order to play? If you have a wireless network in your home, can you play online with the DS? I'm just curious.

Nintendo's wifi service is completely free, and you can connect in either a public hub (participant McDonald's for example) or using your own broadband connection.
