Platinum Carpet V.I.P- Board Master

"Capcom Queens Return" , posted Wed 4 Jan 04:06post reply

I thought these things had been cancelled years ago but it looks as if the second wave of Capcom Queens is going to come out. I question the possible price since the previous figures were only half that but maybe the price of manufacturing those rubber, bendy-toy bodies has gone up. While I have no idea what caused the massive delays on these figures the set does feature two versions of Akira so that's something at least.

from the looks of things, maybe cancellation was a good idea.

Indeed. I wonder why people are more likely to make new US toys instead of localize Japanese ones, when they're clearly trying to make Japanese-like products? Maybe they can't get the licenses from Bandai or something.

Actually, these are localized Japanese figures from Moby Dick.

EDIT: Ibuki.

I see!

well. I guess uh...these toys just kind of look lame, and there's nothing to blame but poor design.

Rival Schools

Capcom Fighting Jam

While it's nice to see characters like Karin and Kyoko finally show up as figures the line still leaves me with a few questions. Between her boxing gloves, hair, and curves, is Tiffany going to be too top-heavy to stand? Have there now been more figures of Ingrid than games that feature her? Also, how the hell did Leo sneak into the collection?

Wow, Ibuki looks like shit.

I'd much rather have something non poseable, those joints look like crap.

Lets get shit together people.

I agree with you. This Ibuki figurine reminds me of those wooden figurines artists use to try postural and shading variations... I guess solving its design faults is just a matter of effort, an effort they are not willing to put on this Ibuki... :(

I was so dissapointed when Resaurus died. Their Ibuki looked so nice. I would have loved to have it. She's one of my favorite characters.

I'm getting most of the SF figures, mostly for the collection but also to support Sota at least up until they get Juli/Juni out here :)

Still, if I could find those in stores around here and could pick and choose, I'd probably only get Akuma and Fei-Long.

I like that Tiffany too... but I don't see myself actually getting it unless I saw it in a store or something.
