I really hope they aren't doing this because video games are criticized for being to sexy and violent, as the article implies. But they probably are. I wonder how many companies will decide that having a booth babe is worth the $5000 penalty. Think about all the attention you'd get if you were the only booth that was breaking the rule.

Wasn't there an article, or a post, or something like that some time back, stating that the folks hired to do booth babe work were actually pretty intelligent and socially respectable? Just that they decided to put their looks to use and take these roles. (Very few had interest in games though.)
[It was the same for cheerleaders in high school; they often had reputations for being not all too bright -- but from my experience, quite the opposite was true. (Of course, then you'd have a few that'd fit the mold on whom everyone would focus.)]

I guess it depends on the "donkey artist". It's not so much that they do a shoddy job, as there's a sort of...weakness in the medium as a whole. That is to say, you can tell that the poor donkey is painted, and their stripes get a little "melty" in the heat.
It seems like a pretty iffy operation, but I guess if you're going to go so far as to paint a donkey like a zebra and expect people to pay good money to have their picture taken with it, then you might as well go all the way.
