100 years ago, my father got me a Famicom system, which plugged me into the real video game era. I had 5 carts which i played for years:

Twin Bee
Fist of the north star
Bomberman
Dino Ricky

The last game is the one I just cannot remember. I want to get some info or anything about this game; i know, I only have some vague clues, but maybe there is some Famicom freak out there who will give me a hand.
The game was about this weird samurai looking boy, he had a sword of course. It was a side scroller platformer, and I remember (if my memory doesnt fail me) that the boy jumped over some logs or trees.
I played this game for years and I really want to find something about it, its too sad that thats the only things i can remember, i mean, i dont even remember any other character like enemies.

Any help will be welcomed.

You should try to be more specific with the description if you really want to find out, for example with the description of a 'guy with a sword who jumped' I can only think of burai fighter.

If you really are looking for a game you should describe things like 'how was the first stage like' or 'could you pick items' or anything, remember that the NES has MANY MANY games and spin off games, I have been told that they are over 10.000 nes titles...

Even thought when I try to remember how many nes games I played my head begins to spin, I remember a game called Dragon Slide that was about a knight and was pretty good.

There are 1,249 offical Famicom games, 198 of which are Famicom Disk games.

Tai Pan your game might indeed be one of the Kaiketsu Yanchamaru. Ishmael mentioned the first one, but two sequels were released. It's the series that fits the most your (vague) description.

Other games in the same vein are Getsufuumaden, Burai Fighter (mentioned by Toxico), and Kamen no Ninja Akakage.

Sounds like Musashi no Ken.

The Famicom Database site might come in useful for you to find the game.

Your description rings a bell. If the guy was wearing a reddish armor, the game could very well be Namco´s Genpeitômaden.

I´m not sure if the game was released outside Japan, though, but I remember having played it thanks to one of those 100-in-one chinese NES cartridges looooong ago. Oh, those were the times...

The second one? That's Kekkyoku Nankyoku Daiboken (Antartic Adventure) by Konami.

You can compare the games with this list to know what game are you looking for, so you don't have to bother with japanese.

This, I should mention, is one of the more awesomely things I've seen lately.

Seems aside from Nuts & Milk, we got pretty much everything reasonable in the first couple of years of Famicom backlog before the NES came out.
