That does look like an interesting game. So I take it the game is set on earth in a 'real life' setting. What other games have used this setting? Just the Mother series right?

I'll keep an eye out for this. It has the possibility of becoming a cult favorite.

Charlie is used to travel between the two worlds... So Charlie lives on Earth and travels earth (the beautiful design) and then goes in Professor's world (8-bit world)

I find the artwork for this game to be very ugly. Reminds me of the Disney cartoon
"American Dragon: Jake Long"

But if its like the Mother series, it might be good.

Side note: Whats the release date for Mother 3?

Has anyone cleared the pyramid island yet?

I'm at the part where you have to step on the tiles to open the door, and there's one more I need to activate, but I need to know what to equip...

Um, Ryu ga Gotoku and Shenmue.

And, uh, any sports game?

And . . . any one of those Tom Clancy games?

Any game where you kill Germans or terrorists?

. . . Dragon Quest?

Yeah, since there's this thread here I'll just reply here instead of the other thread.

The game plays like... Ultima Online/Master of Epic. That is, the more you do something the better you get at it, and there's a slow delay as you do each attack. Kinda like FF12, except here you activate battle mode and walk close to the monster and everything's done.

The game's just basically about jumping from one dungeon to another, all the while picking up girls by using your great and high bravery stats or intelligence stats etc, while giving them great gifts like insects. Oh, and cooking your way to success too.

There aren't really any interesting applications of the touchpad here either, but the game's still about two eons more fun than seiken densetsu, so I love it.

One annoying thing is that the savepoints are spaced pretty distant from each other though, so I can't just pick the game up, play a little, and put it down. And if I actually have enough free time to be playing contact for a long period, I'd be playing FF12.

If we're keeping it in the realm of RPG type games do date sims count as having a "real-life" like setting? If it's includes any genre there are thousands of games set on the normal, everyday world we live in. Take Bad Dudes for instance; there are days when I have to punch dozens of ninja guys in the knees even when I'm out doing something as pedestrian as going to the grocery store.

Awesome! I like the real world. The real question then is, are you a bad enough dude to rescue the president?!

"Osawari Contact" , posted Fri 14 Apr 06:58post reply

Contact's inability to save frequently has gotten to me. So now I play Osawari Tantei during the small pockets of free time I have instead of Contact.

It's a normal point and touch/click classic adventure game, I haven't played something like this since... a long time ago. And Rina's dialogue is cute. Probably good enough to keep me busy till Gyakuten Saiban 4. Or Mother 3.
