The problem with "Wii" isn't that it's hard to say, but that it rolls off the tongue too easily. The explanation for the name, while making sense, reminds me of the convoluted reasoning that Kojima once gave when he tried to give an explanation for tacking the term "Solid" onto both Snake and the MG series. Perhaps this Wii thing is something that doesn't translate well between cultures or are Japanese fans making easy jokes about this as well?
But for my money the Wonderswan still has the stupidist name in game console history.
