You have to be a published critic, written on the internet but some random dudes on IMDB get the chance to go at it too. You have to be between 140-190 to enter.
I wonder if that posted on the internet thing counts message board posts.

I KNEW that Uwe Boll could box all this time. Because he gives two good blows to the head.

Silly wushu kids, tricks are for kids. Sad to say thats actually giving uwe boll a chance at winning.
Edit: I personally don't even think he cant go 10 rounds unless he has a personal trainer. 10 rounds is alot to go for. Let alone personally I think he would be koed possibly maybe..

The thing is, he's supposedly a very good boxer, and most film critics are old crumps or unfit youngsters... Uwe may be old, but he sure looks like he can put up a fight. ... ooooor, you could go the cheap way...

really? I take back what I said then. Yeah not to put a damper but... these critics better come prepared then. Despite age, boxing is still as natural as it comes. Yeah he's gonna give'em hell in some form or fashion if the critics just decide to waltz on through.
Then again he may ask for headgear, heavier gloves or even body protectors for body blows. Little bit hard to tell or vague from the information presented from IGN. The equipment may make a difference for the critic to last longer but hard to say. Only time will tell now.

Is he "supposedly" a good boxer like he's "supposedly" a filmmaker?

I can't seem to find up a record on Uwe Boll since he is out of country, but I'm really gonna take it into the benefit of the doubt he prolly maybe reached something close to what the American equivalent is to golden gloves. But then again anyone now adays can get that title.
Only proof of reference is from gamespot saying hes been doing the boxing gig for 10 years. 10 years does alot for a person and that expereince matters provided he is consistent and provided he focused on a amateur or semi professional level. Other than that if it was just self defense eh.. he maybe just a weekend warrior. Hard to say.
edit: probably gamespots grammer mislead me but I think I'm wrong with this statement. Yeah not 10 years of training but 10 years since he last trained, eh whatever no sense to keep speculating. But it is interesting.

Future generations will write books about Uwe Boll and his ridiculous film career.
The thing that surprises me about the invitation -besides the fact it actually exists- is that he's offering it to such a wide number of people. I seriously doubt actual print or on-line critics would bother with the offer since the Roger Eberts and Walter Chaws of the world simply view his films as terrible and nothing more. But by opening it up to on-line poster he's getting a much different audience. These are people who like the source material so when they complain about his adaptations they aren't doing it because it's their job but because they are personally bothered by how crappy the films are. In such a large group of disgruntled game fans odds are there are not only some who have also trained in boxing but are a good twenty years younger than Mr. Boll as well. Too bad he will probably pick the weakest looking entries since I would actually pay money to go see a movie where five people took turns beating up the director.
