Well I wonder what format theyll choose 3d or 2d pocket version. Both seem alright but I am secretly yearning for Pocket version. We already got MI2 for the 3d fun game.

How do you like your all heroines game?
Give me 3d fighting? Let's see bounce.
I love Pocket series, I really want this as a pocket game.
A handheld game would be enough.
It doesnt really have to be a fighter.

I like 2D fighters more than 3D ones, but if they go for a cutesy "portable type" 2D fighter, the gameplay is going to be as gimped as a 3D fighter like MI. Both are fun, but I can't say either are my preference.

IF they could do a 3D game without ugly models and tons of costume options, I could probably get into it at least a little.

(By the way "ugly models" include models with bizarrely shaped breasts with irregular bouncing patterns)

It's weird that as a hetrosexual male I normally love breasts, but the MI series goes a long way to making them seem utterly disgusting and unappealing. Damn it, zip up your suit, Lien! I like her gameplay style, but I can't stand to look at her character model. Even the alt is horrible. SNK really needs to a DOA3 level of breasts, which is about as conservative as that series ever was, but where they were nice without being distracting.

If you are going to make an all girls fighter, your are doing it for the fanservice, so do it well: Bouncing all around! It probably won't be a "serious" fighter, but it will be funnier than some thing that tries everything and does nothing right.

While I like soft, young and tender female skin as much as the next insane heterosexual pervert; I must say that if I really wanted hentai or eiichi things I would get porn or stalk the local female college; while a female game simply can't avoid the service thing, I'll also will appreciate if the thing was filled with funny and rubbish stupid things that make bouncing, touching, stipping and teasing a funny and trivial thing; in this aspect Ranma½ was extremely funny and successful, Love Hina was not.

While the idea of a stip fighter or V.G. style fighter would be nice, it obviously won't fly.

So a date sim's fine with me.

Besides, I'm getting tired of beiing trounced by overprioritiezed jump-ins.

While I did like Gals Fighter for the NGPC, I don't see myself paying for a game that has only female characters for the sake of fanservice - I'd rather not play something that I'd feel embarassed being caught playing, and if the general population doesn't regard video games that highly already, it's worse when you get stuff like the blatantly fetish-inspired maid in the SC3 shop screen, for example... it already feels weird enough that the developers expect the players of their games to be into that, right as they may be in so many cases...

Yeah, I agree. DOA crosses the lines sometimes, but I think a lot of it is just fun and funny. Also, (and I've said this before) non-bouncing breasts are worse than bouncing ones at this point. It's just sort of...weird.

I like sort of funny sexy things that make you feel involved with the characters. The important thing to me is that the character isn't used and abused as a sex toy. If that character's sexiness can be explored in a way that doesn't "rape" them and is more clever/cute than shameless, then I really like that.

Like...DOAX has a bad reputation, but only some of it is earned. Girls/feminists who don't have a stick stup up their ass can enjoy the game as well. I shyed away from using extremely provocative swimsuits on characters that wouldn't wear them, though...

Ah! I think a good example of something that's blatantly sexual, but harmless and doesn't betray the character is Lei Fang's ending in DOA4. Well, and I guess even though Christie's ending totally crosses the line, everyone knows she's a skanky ho, so it all works out.

I myself am more into 3D fighters recently, but I must admit I have really good memories of games like Capcom's Pocket Fighter, and I think that moe-SD look would fit such a game perfectly. In 2D, of course.

In any case, they should make sure to bring back a bunch of old, obscure characters to the roster (e.g. like they did with Lily Kane in MI2). The biggest charm of a charage are characters, after all.

Speaking of KOF:MI2/2006, although the bounce patters may be somewhat irregular (still, keep in mind there's a lot of variation in movement for unrestrained breasts in teh real world, lord knows I've paid close enough attention to know), I like how the girls have their own unique bounce. Not all breasts move the same way, and I think they're taking into account not only size and roundness, but the outfits they're wearing. The differences are realistic even if the physics aren't, IMO.

I haven't actually seen B. Jenet in action, but Mai seems fitting (with Lien being ridiculous in a different way, zippered puppies struggling to break free horizontally), and Leona to me is fanservicy but tasteful.

Plus in her default outfit there's practically no bounce at all, since that's not practical for WAR.

So yeah, tits in 3D. Discussions like these are why I can never completely leave the MMCafe behind.

True... but they're always nice as a bonus. And I voted 3D, but I'd like 2D or 3D... but it would be nice to see more 2D fighters out there anyway.

Panties make the fighting game!

But whether it's 2D, 3D, or uses special new boob technology that requires 3D glasses to view I want the game to have something new and interesting about it besides just dumping a bunch of female characters into a game and calling it good. If there's nothing to differentiate it from games like Asuka 120% then what's the point?

Asuka 120% Limited for Saturn is close to being my favorite fighting game, so if they basically made a sequel to that, I'd be very happy.

I couldn't figure out Asuka 120%. I mean, I could play it, but I didn't know what made you good at it, if that makes any sense. Maybe there wasn't anything particularly special about it. I liked the tennis girl a lot, though.

I really liked Advanced VG2. Despite the ugly sprites and character designs, I thought it had a great system. I spent houuuurs on training mode coming up with fun little combos. I was surprised to see a combo video for it a few months ago.

I always hoped they'd make a sequel with better character designs...and they did...but it was just an H game.

The makers of V.G. has long since abandon the fihgting game circle. V.G. Max was the last actual fighter of the franchise.

I also really enjoyed AVG2; the engine was fun enough to make me want to get into it more. Too bad Kaori had one of the easiest and dumbest infinites I'd ever seen. I tried playing other VG games after that but most of them sucked.

To put it simply, it's Pocket Fighter, V.G. style. V.G. Max features SD/Chibi versions of the V.G. girls. What separates V.G. Max from Pocket Fighte is that there's less emphasis on silly humor and more on actual gameplay. It's only available on PC.

The game encourages offense. Heck, offensive actions even protect you... Opposing hits cancel, so you really want to attack faster than your opponent. And you really want to be able to keep attacking faster than your opponent, lest they come out on top of a cancel war.

Heck, you can run through projectiles. You can run through projectile supers. They just slow you down a little. (But an opponent can take advantage of that, as well.)

Once you hit your opponent, you want to keep hitting them as much as possible until you simply can't hit them any more. Remember an opponent only needs to attack as fast as you, not faster, to escape. The game assumes you will be hitting a lot once you actually connect a move, anyway.

Don't do your supers until you hit 120%, because then you can do several. Chain one on near the end of your combo.

Don't judge the game entirely by the computer AI. The AI is stupid. A human can be a much more dangerous opponent, and harder to pin down.

At the time, it was one of the fastest fighters around. Simply keeping pace was part of the challenge. Games have come along since that were just as demanding though, while being more demanding in other areas.

Well, the options are only:
3D fighter
SD fighter
handheld fighter
not a fighter

No:
2D fighter (non-SD/handheld)
3D fighter that isn't MI/DOA boobed or silly
3D SD fighter (ala VF Kids)
digitized porn fighter (MK with nudity)
etc...
