Has anyone else had a chance to play CCC2 yet? I managed to give the PS2 version a whirl last night and I was quite happy with what I saw. If the games aren't direct emulations of the original roms they are well done and don't seem to have come from second-hand sources. For example, the gravity ball glitch that was in the PSX version of Strider is not in the version of Hiryu's adventure that is included in CCC2. I was not able to get the exploding something-or-other glitch right before fighting Master Meio -which would have helped confirm the CCC2 Strider is a direct arcade emulation- but I'm not the Strider player I used to be.
Bonus material includes artwork, soundtracks, and useless game tips. Additions that I had not expected but appreciated are a tutorial on how to play SSF2T and a revamped version of Quiz and Dragons that features Capcom trivia. When I tried out the new and improved Q&D I couldn't decide if I liked the company-specific questions or if I was horrified at how much pointless videogame information was rattling around inside my head.

Which Q&D were the Capcom questions ported to, the botched USA version or the original one which has Bengus' artwork and better layout?

It's the US version and not the Japanese upgrade.
Truth be told I'm surprised any version of Q&D was released as a home port.

Well, I hope they release a "vol.3" before PS3 takes over the field completely... a CPS-3 compilation for PS2 would be a dream come true!!

I don't think I'll get a chance to play this on a near future, so please enlighten me (Spoiler tag if needed)

A collection that detailed the short life and hard times of the CPS-3 board would make for an interesting compilation. If nothing else it would probably be the only way Capcom that would bother with finally creating a home version of Red Earth/Warzard.

Some fellow by the Brandon "Insert Credit" Sheffield was listed in the credits.

This would be nice, and a port of Jojo and Street Fighter 3 1&2 would be welcome as well. Me wants, but me being pessimistic.

Heheh, well that might have been fun in a special way, too. Remember (...still kind of the case, too) when all Capcom and Konami credits rolls were just composed of insane nonsense and crazy nicknames. I'm quite glad to know that "Vram Stoker" made the original Akumajou Dracula after all.

Whoops, my mistake. I double checked the credits and it is, in fact, Brandon "Insert Coin" Sheffield. Actually, with the odd font that was used it might have said Brandon "Insert Con" Sheffield but that doesn't make any sense. I guess I was so into the vibe of the Engrish and limited text space of old games that my mind viewed the name as what I figured the programmers were going for instead of reading the literal words on the screen.

Tetris!
edit: circa early 1980's. Which unfortunately makes Brandon about 45.

Let's not say "unfortunately"! He's lived a good life!
Can you even make it to the credits on "Tetris?"

Ooh, good point. I wonder if there are any, assuming it ends, which I also wonder. I have friends who could pull it off on Puyo Puyo I bet, but...

At least in the classic Game Boy Tetris, if you beat the 9-5 level (clearing a number of lines) you get to see a congratulation message, but there are no credits.
