Wonder why SNK won't put together a Hyper Neo Geo 64 collection? I mean if they can somehow manage to get Art of Fighting anthology distributed here in the US there has to be a market for this. The system has always been a curiosity for me but never seen one in my life.

You totally missed-out; it was pretty good (except that it really didn't play like SS all that much).
I found Kagami's sword in a junk yard. I will rule the world and find that truly good cup of coffee. "Dink-a-dink-a-dink-a-do."

They lost all the data. Remember Falcoon was asking for somebody to GIVE them a hyper? Ha ha ha ha. Edit: He also mentioned some kind of sushi racing game they had never completed, ha ha. Does anyone remember the SS 64 and Asura Zanmaden videos I posted, like with the easy Hanzo 100%? I could make more some time, I suppose...

Agreed, that's why they were probably asking for some.... so they could mess with them and possibly ruin or destroy them in the process of trying to dump them.

If they could do even a half-way decent port of Asura Zanmaden I'd be all over it regardless of how crappy it was.
Wild Ambition can stay in hell, though.

I remember those! You also had Sonic Arcade and Warzard vids. Those all ruled!
Having actually got the chance to play the original SS64, I must say that I'd love to have that game on a home console.

aw, man...the arcade version was good! It was just the home version that sucked.
Nah, never played the home version. It wins points for Business Suit Geese, but I hate Tsugumi and her cartoon sound effects so much.
And it also loses because the arcade used that to replace SS64 (granted it was possibly only my posse that came around to play it, but hell I guess finding it in a mall arcade at all was worth something).

I rather fancied the arcade version of Wild Ambition the few times I played it. I would like to see that game, or a remake. Aw hell, I want the PS version just because it is what it is.

I actually own a stand up machine with both SS64 and SS64-2. If I knew how to copy the roms and give them to you guys, I would. I doubt SNK would even care.

Both of them are pretty good.
How can do you have both in the stand-up cab? Hyper 64s aren't multi-slot. I should record some more vids of it again and put them up... Edit: Or did I just read that wrong, and you just happen to have both carts? Only hyper game I'm still really looking for is Beast Busters. Never seen it for sale.

I only ever saw it in one arcade, and I didn't play it :\
then the arcade closed down :\ :\

Outside of filling a hole in your collection I can't imagine why you would want to own a copy of the Beast Busters sequel.

I have to open up the cabinet and switch them.
Right now I have SS64-2 in there but I think I actually might like 1 more. Shiki was more viscerally interesting in 1. Also there's the Kita Senri art, which for some stupid reason they took out of 2.
Bust Kazuki and Bust Sogetsu just look awesome in 2 though.
I wish I could get a multi-slot HNG-64.

This particular series simply has awesome artwork. Too bad the 3D models can't possibly live up to the 2D illustrations.

Then carry on my good man.
Say, does the SuperGun or whatever it is you are using to run the carts support light gun controllers? I would hate it if things like the Steel Gunner games get lost because there is no way to play them outside of dedicated cabinets.

I bought this Samurai Showdown artbook that has pretty much all of Kita Senri's art for the entire SS series, including all the sumi brush art for HNG64 1 and 2 and even for the PSOne game.
It's incredible and the best artbook I've ever bought.

Not directly, but they can be wired with a bit of work.
