There is only one solution to this, sponsor a fight-to-the-death kombat tournament in a Buddhist temple.

Don't you need permission to use famous real life locations in games in the first place?

Doubt Westwood asked England if NOD could use the ion cannon to blow up Big Ben though.

Hahaha...I love how they used "Doctor Who" as an example. That's the only thing the English understand!

Doctor Who is a fair comparison, as I don't recall people complaining when the new series did things like crash a ship through Big Ben or blew up 10 Downing Street with a missile.

Hey, back in the 60's the Cybermen marched down the steps of St. Paul's in "The Invasion", no complaints back then, either. The old C of E probably just hates games.

or needs money.
my favorite bit is where they say the game is too violent to have anything representing the church in it. I can't think of a single thing that has caused more violence, death, and bloodshed than religion!

Wonder what they'd say if it were a game about the crusades?

They'd probably finally get around to putting broadband in their offices, so they could go "save" some n00bs online.

Play to win.
