Shmups forum is dead, so I get to make fun of this here.
Mihara of Arika says that in a mixi posting, Cave is calling for cosplayers to help promote their newest 2D shooter, DEATH LOLITA (working title). I thought this was called Tenshi no Juusha before? I guess that was a working title, too.
Cave's been taking the piss for a while now, but this is just ridiculous. HI, WE'RE PANDERING TO YOU OTAKUS WITH NO SUBTLETY OR STYLE. BUY OUR SHIT. I haven't been interested in - or enjoyed - their games since Espgaluda (the port-less Espg2 and Muchimuchi Pork aside), so I can feel safe ignoring this and any future releases, probably. But from the promo art it looks like Joker Jun is back? Does that count for anything? Maybe not.
Oh, gameplay. Supposedly it's a horizontal shooter, and the system is like Guwange. Option characters can fight alongside you. 2P simultaneous play is possible. No connection to the Esp series.

Why the name change all of a sudden? I probably will never find the reason I guess. Oh well.
Anyway, the new name definitely gives eerie vibes to a Westerner. Ha ha ha! Of course, I could care less. As for it being a horizontal shooter, I'm fine with it. Whether or not I'll buy the game, I don't know. I'm still waiting for my "Pink Sweets" PS2 port.
