Yeah, like the title says, I was wondering if there was a beat-em-up maker out there. I know there are makers for lots of other genres like RPG, shooter, fighter, adventure, etc. but I can't remember if there has been one for a Final Fight-like engine, and searching for one on Google is proving difficult.

Supposing I wanted to make a Valis clone instead. Any good engines you could recoomend that have one-speed running, slide-kicks, and somewhat stiff jumping?

Go to www.lavalit.com and use the updated OpenBOR engine. The things you want may take a little scripting but it is all doable.
