Very off-topic, but... I've received about 10Kgs of "Valle Del Sole" Spaghetti (import) as a gift and since I've never heard of the brand (I usually use either Barilla or De Cecco), I'm wondering how its reputation is, especially in terms of pesticipdes... Searching on internet didn't bring out much results so I'm guessing it's second-grade quality. I'll be much obliged for any words, thanks.

Man, that's a lot of pasta.

[edit] it was 10kgs, not 5

So the package says Made in Italy? And the name is Valle Del Sole?

I'll guess that if no true answer surfice; then you'll have to cook a really small portion of it, something like 15 noodles or so; if it's hideous, then you can always make it all and throw it to street dogs Wich is something that I sometimes, have to do with my mother's incredible cousine....

I think it's supposed to be a winter gift, but.. by God, it's talking up a lot of floor space. Am I supposed to sleep with it?

That's correct!

stick with the barilla, its expensive for a reason ;)

you could make a crappy tatami mat with all the excess pasta and sell it to a tourist

Tai-Pan: Yup, that's the one alright. I found the site myself while surfing yesterday too, but it unfortunately tells almost nothing.. thanks for looking around tho'!

Orch: Edible tatami mats would be the perfect gift for Xmas. Kind of like making a flying carpet out of vanilla ice cream, except with less calories.

Professor,

I never saw that pasta before, but if you want, I could phone them and ask some questions. What would you like me to ask?

Matteo

Yes you're perfectly right, but what proof do I have I that Mattfabb is not after all a 10 year-old girl pretending to be a hariy chested old married man? I don't want to be disappointed, so unless I get more evidence (as I did with Oroch) of the furr, I won't get myself too excited.

This is some subtle psychology. For a second there, I nearly took off my shirt and looked around for a camera. Then I remembered that I look awful, so nevermind.

For the record; am I the only one interested in knowing if the pasta busted out from the Professor's chest, after eating his inyards?
