Must be some wierd rule in MMC: If it's heavily popular, it sucks. (Same with insert-cre...oh no they talk about it.)

It's great. I love that people complain about not being able to slide and charge mega buster. It's really no coincidence that MM games became way too easy after those moves were introduced.

I also like how the story is so extremely 80's to the point of stupidity. Follow the rules and get scrapped or Mega Man will blow you to bits you dumb worker robots! How dare you follow Wily, letting him tell you you're all useful and crap!

I made a post about it at some point, nobody answered, so I thought people here were not interested.
I make sweet love to it every day since launch, and even though I'm against it, I think I'll buy every single DLC that will be released for it.

Actually, I was involved in a big discussion about Wily's "inflammatory" speech to the robots on another site, ha ha ha. If they game gets any sort of sequel, I wonder if it will be significant?

Could you fill me in on that speech? That picked my interest.

Also, the amount of porn on Splash Woman is only comparable to the greatness of the game.

It's like the sexual repression of a whole generation of Megaman players suddenly bursted in the most maniac fashion possible.

I make love to it everyday as well.
I still wonder how well they emulated the 8bit platform. The music and sounds..jesus..its awesome..i wish we could get more games like that.

I don't know... As much as I love MM9 (still cannot finish it, that damn Wily kills me with his third form) I don't think it would be a good idea of having our nostalgia milked (it's Capcom, they'll do it anyway). I like to think this is a very awesome One Shot.
By the way, are you guys playing this on Wii or any other console?

shit i'll never get to play this game until i get a console newer than my gamecube
speaking of cool games on new consoles, i haven't seen a Castle Crashers thread yet
i guess you can add another MMCafe unspoken rule:

2. If it isn't Japanese, it sucks.

yet another game i'll never play. and that makes me weep

I haven't bought it because it's more expensive than Bionic Commando Rearmed, and BCR has made me wonder if there's any other game that'll be released that will be worth my money this year.

I'm inclined to say no.

The game is pretty awesome. I would not mind if they recycled another game like this as long as they keep them difficult.

I was hesitant about the price, but Castle Crashers justified itself with a lot of replay value. It is not like the Penny-Arcade game where you are paying a lot of money for 6-8 hours of game.

Yes, I have crashed some castles with Juan, it's lots of fun. I enjoy using the bee keeper, because.. it's a bee keeper.

As long as they are as well done as this one, yeah, sure. But unfortunately, if a new trend starts, that's not going to happen...

Well, I just finished this game, and I'm very satisfied with it. I loved every minute of it!

What about the challenges? some are insane, like finishing the game without taking any damage!

Who has finished it?

I don't have the ability to play it yet... can't wait though.

I'm sure you guys heard about the DLC with Endless Battle and playing as Proto Man.

I've beaten it and done the no death challenge, but the no damage one is insane beyond reason, ha ha ha. Just think of how frustrating it would be trying to get that!

"DLC" , posted Sat 25 Oct 18:17post reply

Has anyone bought any DLC yet?
In my opinion, Blues/protoman is rather disappointing, and the special stage is just very bad.
On the other hand, the Endless mode is fresh and really interesting, and the two hero and superhero modes are just great. There are some brilliant level design choices there, and some screen even become little puzzles where you have to find the right solution to go through without falling down a pit. Unfortunately the balance is not always right, with some areas without much of a new challenge, but I feel like I discover a whole new game even though I know it by heart.

It's a shame the DLC are so poorly implanted and user unfriendly (no Blues in endless or hard modes, no challenges for any DLC mode, no time attack for the hard modes...)
Oh well.

So I bought the game probably a month ago...and I played it up until the first Wily Stage. Then for some reason, I stopped. The game is very good and I want to finish it. However, I just haven't been able to do so. Funny, its the same with me and Bionic Commando rearmed...

I bought Protoman and endless stage. And yeah, with the exeption of Endless stage, it is a waste of money. I was very disappointed with Protoman, I mean, he takes double damage, gets knocked back twice the distance, can have ONLY two shots onscreen (the worst feature) and is overall not fun to play with.
I won't buy any DLC for this game after this bullshit.

I haven't even played this one yet, but I think it's worth noting that the super-funky Hornet Dance remix is the best thing to happen to arranged version soundtracks since Chrono Trigger: The Brink of Time.

I'm not sure I like the arranged soundtrack... it doesn't feel like it has personality. Mind you, I like the music from MM9, and maybe one or two of the arranged soundtrack. Still, it just sounds meh. IMHO.
