It's basically a group project that I opted to keep working on after the class ended. A crossover storyline wrapped up in an old school styled beat-em-up. Figured some people here might enjoy it so posting a link.

I'm very interested but the link seems to be limited to members?

Forgot about that since I'm permanently logged in there. Membership is free but I may set up an alternate link. Sort of rather not since I won't have to worry about bandwith or max number of downloads.

Maybe consider megaupload.com or something?
Setting up a Rapidshare right now. However, I'll be more prone to ignore updating non-LavaLit sites since I'm semi active over a LavaLit and it simply winds up being easier to manage only one site.

Well, I played it quite a bit-- I really enjoyed the combination of fighters, and the incorporation of their moveset into the game (although I did have to read the readme to figure a few things out). I'm also predisposed to like it given my love of fighters as well as Bare Knuckle style beat em ups. I also loved the inclusion of practice mode. It's a little thing, but very appreciated. But yes, great job, and thanks for sharing it!
If I could ask a technical question-- I was curious how you handled the standard move combos-- there are a bunch of different approaches that I can think of, and I think the way you've handled it is especially effective.

For the default, the system has things set to Attack1 Attack1 Attack2 Attack3 for a base 4 hit combo. I can tweak the individual moves to do things like multi hit or I can alter the chain system itself for things like 1 2 2 3 or a simple 1 2 3.
The real key to the system is the juggle engine as outlined in the readme. It allows you to be a bit more flexible with things. Technically it's one of the stronger ways to do damage since bosses can break out of ground combos but they can't air recover. Hitstun took a little fine tuning since there was one point where the Streets of Rage jab infinite was ridiculously easy. Technically it still exists but it's easier to screw up.
Balancing the game has been rather interesting. Originally, there were no juggle limits so knocking down almost any enemy meant death. Then again, this also applied to players. Alucard used to be a really broken character due to the bat summons and Wolverine basically looked at an enemy funny and they were caught in a juggle. MegaMan and Jax used to be really bad but I think the cast as a whole is pretty even now.
I'm curious, what is everyone's favorite character to use?
