I saw a movie years ago (probably early 90's)and in this movie they were watching an anime, and I could never figure out what it is.

In the anime they were speaking Spanish, so it's definitely one that was brought over to Latin America back in the 70's or 80's.

That is Takeru Hojo from Magne Robo Gakeen. It was dubbed into Spanish as "Supermagnetron".

You can see him in his normal clothes here.

Good thing those 70's heroes were too hotblooded to change their clothes or else we would never be able to tell them apart!

And yeah you're right, they have a pretty similar look, good thing they have different clothes.
