Speaking of Fireworks, they can be very dangerous. Thankfully, early reports suggest no casualties or injuries. Even so, Dubai does the most Dubai thing ever and continues to hold their massive excessive ridiculous New Year's Eve fireworks celebration next to the harrowing burning hotel as if nothing has happened in an attempt to quell fears of their oh so valuable spendy tourists.
On a happier, more personal note, 2015 was a good year for me, after having the previous couple of post-graduation years feel sorta like I was stuck. And while I'm technically in the same position, I can already feel like things and plans have moved and there's hope for bigger better things for me. But to be more specific, I did a lot of cool stuff, like visit South Korea and Japan for the first time. I also managed to meet plenty of "online friends" face to face (including Cafe members, which was def a highlight!). And in doing so, I managed to connect with a regional Fighting game community and helped them out with stuff, so that was great too. I have high hopes for 2016 now.
