Anyone know if he's okay? I recall that he's a Houston resident. Them storms are no joke. I can't recall who are the Miami posters.

Yeah he's fine. I hear he used the fruits of his recent weight training to repel the hurricane with the power of his fist alone. I have it on good authority it looked like this

Hey all, just got power and internet restored in Palm Beach County Florida. Anyone heard from Tai-Pan? I recall he was about an hour south of me in Ft Lauderdale and I think things got a little more beat up there.

Ungenesis-- great to hear that you're ok! Hope Tai-pan is OK too, he hasn't posted recently here (last was in June)

Glad that you got power and Internet restored. Sadly, no.

Ishmael beat me to the pun
I recall that he's down there. Just couldn't recall if he's a Houston resident also. Penguins can swim. Just don't think that they can handle the water down south.

Hi there! Glad to hear everybody is fine. My power went out on Friday the 8th and didn't come back until Friday the 15th. I live in a barrier island in Fort Lauderdale. Which, even though is very pretty, still uses old power grids and infrastructure. Not having power for a week is an amazing experience. Only problem is trying to sleep at night through the scorching heat and lack of wind (especially after the hurricane was gone). Needless to say I had a blast during the hurricane. For some reason I became the de facto leader of the hurricane resistance. We camped outside in the building hallways and had a grand time. All while enjoying the insane hurricane winds (we were a mile away from the ocean).
I'm still catching up with work and other digital endeavors (such as Nier Automata, which I like!!).
Thanks for worrying and I'm glad to be back!

Glad to hear it. This was the first storm I've really worried about since Wilma demolished my home almost 10 years ago

Glad that you're back! The Professor mentioned that you haven't posted in three months. I can't handle not having power being a city/suburb guy.
