My goal for 2018 is to not freeze to death. I'm not certain I'm going to be able to fulfill this resolution.

Happy New Year, Cafe! I was thinking about a game of the year thread but realized I can save you all the time by declaring Nier the game of the year decade. Hope to see you all in Tokyo, New York, etc. this year!

Happy New Year!
I have a mission. I need to rebuild my savings account. So, no recreation buying during at the very least 3 months of the year. Also, can't attend an event unless there's a good reason behind it.
It certainly has added a thrill to the New Year over the years! I think the elderly would do well to consider mochi ice or daifuku as opposed to warm mochi, but such is tradition.

I have rudimentary plans to visit Japan next year but I forgot that it was the same time period in which Neo Tokyo explodes. Should make for an exciting vacation!

I'm hoping the upcoming Evo Japan has some interesting side tournaments as well. Since SF5 is going to unfamiliar to everyone involved they might as well go all out and make certain every game played there is half crazy.
These are so damn HILARIOUS. I had no idea Ryo was even in a Fatal Fury game, much less he is one of the hardest SNK bosses ever. And oh man, the Street Fighter Rainbow tournaments always bring me to tears with laughter. The way they mess with a game that I've known so intimately for so long. It's a really unique way to tickle the funny bone.
It would be interesting to design an intentionally broken fighting game like that, where every character has overpowered easily abusable moves (One could argue that some existing fighting games already fit that bill though :P)
