The Japan e-Sports Association (JeSPA), an organization specializing in the promotion of e-sports in Japan, will be holding their first championship on March 12 and 13. Preliminaries will be held for all games as indicated below.
Osaka Prelims: Feb 7 Tokyo Prelims: Feb 21 Online Prelims: Feb 28
The event will take place at the Toyosu PIT, a venue that holds over 3,000 standing spectators.
JeSPA's board members consist of high-profile figures including lower house councilor Yasutoshi Nakamura as CEO, advertisement juggernaut Dentsu corporation's Akira Hirakata, and Kadokawa co. executive Hirokazu Hamamura who's well known in the gaming industry as the former cheif of Famitsu magazine.
