SNK collaborating with Granblue Fantasy

In the fighting game scene, one of the biggest year-end surprise didn't come from either the arcades nor consoles; it came from the smartphone sector.

Cygames' mega-hit RPG Granblue Fantasy will be running a collaboration with SNK's classic sword brawler Samurai Shodown. The news made headlines this week as Famitsu posted up first Sillouetes of the characters slated for the collaboration, which takes very little imagination to conclude that it's Haoumaru and Nakoruru.

Official announcement on the collaboration hasn't been made yet by Cygames and details including target period haven't been disclosed. Considering past Granblue Fantasy tie-ins with third party content such as Slayers and Street Fighter happened around two or so months after their initial announcement, we're probably looking at around the same span.
