Mid-term results of FFX single CD's coupling announced |

|
Square has announced to release the single CD of FFX's theme song sung by vocalist RIKKI, prior to the release of the Playstation 2 game. The second song coupling to the FFX theme song will be a music from the FF series in the past. This second song is currently opened for voting in Square's Play Online site- the song with the most votes will be included in the CD, vocalized by RIKKI as well.
The mid-term results of the
voting goes as follows-
1st place: "Theme of Aerith" (FFVII, 634 votes), 2nd place: "Battle at Big Bridge" (FFV, 149 votes), 3rd place: "Aria Di Mezzo Carattere" (FFVI, 137 votes).

Toromail.com opens- Server overloads with fans |

A new mailing service "Toro Mail"
has begun for SCEI's mascot character Inoue Toro, or "Toro" in short. A free service provided by SCEI, Toro Mail delivers daily mumbles of their mascot character by Email, as well as announcements of new and related products to Toro and his debut game "Doko demo issho". Likewise to the online fiasco during the Playstation 2 reservations, the SCEI's server was flooded again in the opening day of the new service in 03/01/2001.

Nikkei IT: GameBoy Advance rescheduled for release in 6/11 - North America |

According to the Nikkei IT, Nintendo has announced to reschedule the release of GameBoy Advance in North America to 6/11, 1 month earlier than previously expected. Administrative executive Hiroshi Imanishi explains that "we now prospect that 1 million machiens will be ready for the North American market" - and thus they will be shipped in the beginning of summer, a period when demand rises. Plans are also set to release the Game Boy Advance in Europe at a similar time.

Konami Entertainment as announced their "Your name in MGS2!" campaign. Fans may enter their name and information in the application page, and Staffs will carefully select a number of them to be used as enemy soldier names in the game. The data will be inscribed in dog tags worn by the soldiers.
"These dog tags will appear not only in the Japanese version but in all language versions to be sold worldwide."
