On this one board I'm a part of, someone told me that according to a Chinese (or Hong Kong) news segment, the packaging system added chemicals or whatever into the Pocky sticks which can cause cancer.

I hope this is only a figment of my imagination and it is not true.

Hey, it's been published that DRINKING water can cause cancer. It seems every damn thing on the face of the Earth causes cancer. Next, they'll say " Breathing air causes cancer!!! WE have proof!!! " .... I just don't care anymore. My logic: If you can't escape it, why bother trying? Everyone has to love with SOME health risks. Better to eat a bit of pocky than to chew tobacco every day, eh?

Well if that's ture, that means every other snack food can cause Cancer due to it's packaging...:P

I don't really buy it, really, since I haven't heard or seen reports of a large amount of Japanese people suffering from Cancer due to Pocky. It's pretty well harmless in terms of cancer causing stuff (I mean the air is probably worse in some places...Hmm, that isn't too reassuring...:P)

It's a japanesse snack. It's biscut sticks dipped in chocolate,villia, or strawberry, but chocolate is the most common. From what I hear about cancer, cancer is caused mostly by just getting old and not taking care of yourself. The rest is just bs.

If you don't know what pocky is it is thing bread sticks (hard) dipped in chocolate 4/5 of the way. Differnt flavor pocky is pretty much only what it is dipped in. Like instead of normal pocky (chocolate) it is dipped in other substances instead of chocolate.

Me I'm addicted to pocky and other asian snacks. If you want to try some or find a large variety of this the best site for it online *IMHO* is http://www.japanesesnacks.com /

Only problem is their currently remodeling so check back in a few weeks/months.

Anyother place to find pocky is at almost ANY asian food store.

I heard in one of my classes that the Cocacola(320ml) which is the normal size here(it is used to be the large one, have at least 9 sugar spoons ( I think one sugar spoon is 5X5 cm wide and hight) WOW this is tooo much!
and if you go to a fast food resturant man you are killing your self!
the large size have 18 Spoons of sugar!
and the king size have 24!!!!!
I realy never ever thought it would be such a big number, try to stop drinking that shit! go make hot milk with honey I swear it is much more tasty and it is so good for your health!
