Konami has announced their next sequel to the Metal Gear solid

Storyline of Ghost Babel
In ther beginning of the 21st century, The army had created the
"Metal Gear"- a neuclear armed tank with tw legs as its
mobility. However, the Metal Gear was lost in its way to being transported
to South America.
A few days later, the United States learnt that the Metal Gear had
fallen into the hands of the Giref- military group practicing monarchy
in a small country named Gindra , located
in South Africa.
Seeing this as an emergency situation, the United States called
in Solid Snake- the man who single handedly destroyed the Outer
Heaven 7 years ago.
Snake's mission: to sneak into the enemie's base "Garuade"

Game Details
Unlike its Playstation counterpart, since it is a portable machine
the GameBoy version of Metal Gear is a stage-clear based game.
There are 13 stages
scheduled at the current time. In addition, there are 180
V.R stages prepared for the game.
Familiar faces to the Playstation version such as Campbell and
Mei Lin are present in the game.
Likewise, Snake's actions in the game include those from the
Playstation such as hide behind walls, crouch into low openings,
and use wepons such as C4, mines and granades. In addition there
are other actions in the Game Boy Version, such as hide inside
swamps or grass.
Words of the Director
Director of the Series, Hideo Kojima notes the following points:
1- The GameBoy version was requested from Europe While the Japanese
audience for the gameBoy are mostly elementary school childern,
Metal Gear for the GameBoy will still be hard cored sicne it
is what the fans want..
2- The storyline and scenario will be like nothing that GameBoy
has yet to experience, with many betrayals and drama.
3- Likewise, the graphics will be nothing like the GameBoy has
yet to have seen. In example, Snake's Bandana floats naturally
in the air as he walks, dot by dot. Nakamura- rumored to be
the best pixel artist in Konami according to Kojima, is working
on the Gameboy version. Nakamura has previously worked on Metal
Gear Solid as well.
4- With the use of the cable link, players can play against
each other. While the details are not revealed as of yet, Kojima
ensures that it will be a lot of fun and excitement.
5- There are currently 13 stages scheduled for the main scenario,
each with different objectives. Once after the game has been
cleared, the stages an be played again, but with different objectives.
Metal Gear -Ghost Babel- for the GameBoy is currently 50-60%
complete. While the release date and price is not yet determined,
it will be 16 Meg/BatteryBackup.
Metal Gear -Ghost Babel- is available for the Color GameBoy
only.
