has released the first details on their upcoming sequel
to the Guilty Gear series, Guilty Gear 2.

(Guilty Gear History)
In the 22nd century, mankind has found a "magic"
which creates an infinite resource of energy. Due to its
mis-use, wars began erupting within the world. As the
result, humanoid bio-weapons called "gear"s
were invented.
While Gears only comply to human order and cannot move
on thier own, a Gear with its own mind called "Justice"
rose up and retaliated against mankind, taking control
of all other Gears. While the army seized Justice, they
were only able to seal him into another dimention.

5 years later in the year 2180, fearing the possibility
of Justice's ressurection, the united government led by
a man named "Testament" opened a tournament
to bring fourth the strongest fighters in order to put
an end to Justice. While The tournament was a Plot by
Testament to fully ressurect Justice, his plans backfired
and Justice was defeated.
(Guilty Gear 2)
While the world seemed to have gone in peace after the
death of Justice, it was not long before this silence
was shattered. In less than a year after the tournament,
findings of Gears back in movement were reported despite
their leader no longer being present. More peculiarly,
the Gears seemed to be moving on their own mind, although
not attacking human beings. Seeing this as a sign of danger
especially in a time when nations were once again thinking
of using Gears for their own benifit, citizens of the
world rose up to fight.
Guilty Gear 2 Details
While the original
Guilty Gear made its debut on the Playstation, Guilty Gear
2 will be released on the Naomi board. While Guilty Gear
2 is still in production, over 7500 frames of animations
have been drawn for the game. .
Thus Far, all default characters from Guilty Gear 2 are
confirmed in the game, excluding Kliff Andersen and Dr.Baldhead.
However, an obvious man wearing a paper bag voer his face
is present in the game. Game images of new characters have
not been released as of the current.
No release date is currently set for Guilty Gear 2.
Guilty Gear 2 will make its first apperance at arcades on
the Naomi Board..
