images on Capcom's upcoming sequel, Marvel vs Capcom 2- have
been revealed.
Arcade-Naomi Visual Memory Ties
By playing the Arcade
or Dreamcast version, the player can earn points and save
them on a Virtual Memory(VM) module. When enough points are
earned, the player will be rewarded was a new character. It
has been revealed that there is a level set on the VM- once
a certain amount of points have been earned, the level will
go up.
There are 3 different kinds of points,
earnable in three different ways.

N-points
Earnable by playing at the arcades.
D-points
Earnable by playing the DreamCast version.
V-points
Earnable by playing on the Net, using the DreamCast.

Game Modes
The DreamCast version of M vs C2 Has 6 modes-
Arcade Mode, VS Mode, Training Mode, Option mode, Network
Battle, and Score attack.
After the player has earned enough points in the modes, the
points can be exchanged for secret characters in the "Secret
Factor" screen.

There are different options in the Secret Factor screen: Players
can exchange points for a new character in the "Vs Shop"
option, structure a Visual Memory file for the arcades in
the "Vs Com" option, and exchange characters between
Virtual Memory modules in the "Character trade"

It has not been confiremed if all the characters in the arcade
version are useable in the home version- as can be seen in
the image above, the Dreamcast version's Character select
screen evidently has less character slots than the arcade

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is scheduled for release on 3/23 both in
Arcade and Dreamcast.
The DreamCast version is scheduled for price at 5800 Yen.
