"Tokyo, March 10 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori signaled his intention to step down soon, government officials said after meeting with him. His decision heralds an end to a one- year tenure punctuated by scandal and bungling that did little to revive the economy.
Mori told officials from his Liberal Democratic Party and its coalition partners, New Komeito and New Conservative parties, that he will call an early poll for the party's leadership at the LDP's convention on Tuesday, said LDP secretary-general Makoto Koga. No date has been set for the poll, Koga said."
"`The problem with Japan is not really an IT problem like America -- it's also an IQ problem,'' said David Roche, president of Independent Strategy. ``You have one of the most incompetent governments in the world.'' " - Sounds just about correct. The man was quite a simpleton, even outstanding than the rest of the incompetent prime ministers in recent years. -H.Moriarty
