Short Comment- Internet users with broadband connection may also want to check out Ruliweb's collection of mpeg demos. - "Madman" H. Moriarty

Short Comment- Photo of Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto

At first glance, I thought it was his expression as he was preparing to welcome back Square.

Actually, the article that the photo originated from had absolutely nothing to do with the recent fiasco regarding the two companies at all.
It's from GameSpy's 30 Most Influential People in Gaming, where Miyamoto is ranked #1... But wow, Miyamoto sure looks sinister in it. [ Photo Link ] -H. Moriarty

Short Comment- And yet, another Quality Doujin Fighter

While I was checking for software online some while back, I came up to this pretty interesting game called Comipa Taisen.

Its graphics aren't professional quality, but it has some interesting moves, spectacular special effects, and its animation pattern is extremely smooth (even compared to a number of commercial products). The game seems full featured too, despite being a demo. Check out some of the effects in the game. Image1/Image2

So if you feel up to it, check it out at the development group's site,
Run-Liatto. The Older Version of the two is more playable- Download the two files and decompress them into the same directory. And yes, that's a Berserk sword that the girl is swinging.

Update(2nd): Yipes, the program doesn't seem to work on non-JP operating systems since some of the filenames are in 2 byte Japanese JIS letters. Windows XP users may be in some luck though- check the post by Kagami in the BBS. Thanks to Kagami, BlackNinjaVinny, VariantX and Spoon for the info. -H. Moriarty
