Sammy has released some details to their upcoming port of Guilty Gear X to the PlayStation 2. In addition to the Arcade, Survival, Training and Sound test modes available in the DreamCast version, the PS2 version will also feature a Story Mode and gallery mode.
An original mode for the PS2, the story mode explains the background stories untold in the arcade mode as well as relationships between characters, and stories after the endings. The PS2 version will also feature a Gallery mode, in which new images can be unlocked by clearing challenges. While one new stage has been confirmed in the game, it is unknown if a new character will be available as well. The PS2 Guilty Gear X is currently 70% complete, release scheduled for Fall of 2001.
