Short Comment- Minor news for most people, major news for some. In either way, it's interesting to see that Playmore is quite active since their revival as SNK. - "Madman" Henry Moriarty

Tales of Destiny 2 - Details and Images Revealed

Japanese game news site Namae No Nai Heya has released first images of Namco's "Tales of Destiny 2" from Shueisha publishing's Weekly Jump Magazine.

Tales of Destiny 2 takes place 18 years after its prequel. The main character is Kyle Dunamis, the son of Stahn and Rutee from Tales of Destiny 1. Kyle hates boredom and is always looking for something exciting. The heroine of the game is named Reala, a mysterious girl who suddenly appears in front of Kyle, and becomes the reason for him to begin his journey.

Tales of Destiny 2 will still be a 2D based RPG, with most of the field hand drawn except for the world map. The battle scene is still a 2D action based system as well, named the LMB (Linear Motion Battle System). Characters can be moved freely around the battle screen, with a zoom-in assisting the player's view automatically.

Tales of Destiny 2 is scheduled for release in December, price undetermined. The official illustrator of the title is still Mutsumi Inomata. For images of the game, check Namae No Nai Heya, top section of 7/7 update.

Short Comment- Question on KOF2001 for the PS2, getting lots of mails...

I suddenly seem be getting a number of questions in my mailbox about whether The King Of Fighters 2001 will be hitting the PS2 or not. The answer is- it's announced to retailers, but not announced officially to consumers by Playmore.

Both KOF2000 and 2001 are scheduled for the PS2- KOF2000 at the price of 5800 Yen in October, and KOF2001 in December, price undetermined. Both can be found listed in Japanese retailer Chadran's site, for those who are interested. [ Site ]

Since they're only 2 months apart from each other's releases, I'm assuming that Playmore may be still trying to fiddle with the date of the releases before they make an announcement to the general public. It's bound to be announced officially by Playmore, but best wait until the time comes.
