Capcom Illustrator Akiman interviewed, BPM Magazine

Club music periodical BPM Culture Magazine has interviewed Capcom illustrator Akira Yasuda (Akiman) in their latest issue. The two page article covers a number of subjects such as Akiman's look back into his days of 2D, his overview on otakus, and current projects.

Shonen Jump English site Renewed, Grand Opening

Shueisha Inc. and Viz communicaitons has renewed the official site to their newly published monthly periodical, the Shonen Jump magazine.

In addition to the Roster of the manga, the site also give breif explanations of itself and its artists. Titles to be included in the Shonen Jump are- DregonballZ, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Yu-Hakusho, Naruto, One Peice, Shaman King and Sand Land.

Tecmo Itagaki Comments DOA Volleyball to Originally be a Female Character Showcase

In a short interview conducted by Japanese game news site Dengeki Online, Tecmo producer Tomonobu Itagaki revealed that their upcoming sports game "Dead Or Alive Extreme Volleyball" was originally planned to be developed with the title "DOA Digital Venus 2002" as a program that would allow fans to simply "move around the attractive CG characters in real time".

Itagaki quotes, "But, just being able to move them around would be no fun, so we added a feature of Volley Ball. [We were] also thinking of making it into a swimming game, but canned the idea. I gave the green light [to the Volleyball] since we had confidence that it would be full of exhilaration."
