According to the beta tester reports at Japanese BBS 2ch, the KOF2002 goes as follows-

Ryo, Robert, Takuma
Leona Ralf, Clark
Athena, Sie, Ching
Mai, Yuri, May Lee
Kim, Chang, Choi
Iori, Mature, Vice
Mary, Billy, Yamazaki
Yashiro, Shermie, Chris (Both Normal and Orochi versions available)
K', Maxima, Whip
Vanessa, Ramon, Seth
Kula, K999, Angel


1- And no, that's not a mistake, King is replaced by May Lee, and put into the game as a background character.

2- 3-on-3 battle, No strikers.

3- A new system where a special can be canceled into a special is present. Apparently it's a custom combo system which uses all power stocks.

4- Kula and Orochi Yashiro are strong, Terry has an inifnite with his power charge. Takuma doesn't play like his old self (Projectile doesn't fly, Dashing knee is gone, Shippu-kyaku is Ryo style including the command, etc). Leona has a rage mode.

5- Shingo isn't in the selectable roster, but comes out interupting like in KOF98. Scratch that. (Read:collation report)

6- Photo taking is strongly prohibited during the beta testing, so chances of images leaking out is slim. The beta testing is apparently scheduled until the 2nd, so plenty of time.

Again, these are from beta testing, so changes are possible in the final product. More info to be posted later.. I heard Rugal was the last boss, but I'm not sure on that one. damn, wish I were there myself. - Henry A. Moriarty
