Final Fantasy IX to be released next Term (11/29/99)

Square announced their decision to release their hit sequel "Final Fantasy IX" during the next fisical term (season).

While formerly planned for release during this fisical term (by 3/31/2000), the decision has been postponed due to conflict with DragonQuest VII's release date. By switching the release term, Square aims to maximize on the reservation count for first shipment..

This decision was made clear by presentations to stock owners, dated 11/29/2000.

Garou- Mark of the Wolves to be released 11/26 (11/20/99)

SNK has announced their official release date of their upcoming sequel to the Fatal Fury series.

Garou -Mark of the Wolves, has been scheduled for release in 11/26, one month before than earlier planned.

	*Shenmue Rescheduled for 12/29 (11/20/99)*
	Shenmue- Sega's upcoming project directed by Yu Suzuki, has been rescheduled for earlier release. While the game was delayed for sale until Spring of 2000, Sega has brought back the release date to 12/29/99 due to the production of the game.

Final Fight Revenge to be released for Sega Saturn (11/20/99)

The American Made polygon fighter game Final Fight Revenge, has been announced for release on the Sega Saturn.

Final Fight Revenge introduces 10 charactersfrom the original Final Fight created in 1987- Cody, Guy, haggar, Poison, El Gado, Andore, Dmnd, Edi.E, Sodom, and Rolento.

While a conversion from the arcade version, it is not clear whether or not anr original additions will be included for the home version. FFRevenge is scheduled for this winter, 5800Yen -4Meg cart only.

	*DragonQuest VII Delayed from 12/29 (11/17/99)*
	In order to deliver guaranteed quality, Enix has announced their decision to delay their upcoming hit sequel- DragonQuest VII, until further notice. While Enix plans to still launch the title within the winter and possibly early next year, no specific date has been announced. DragonQuest VII was originally planned for sale in December 29.

Additional Images on Parasite Eve2 (11/16/99)

Additional images have been extracted from Square's trailer release of Parasite Eve 2, from Dengeki Playstation D26. Images of a few key characters such as Kyle Madigan and The NMC #9 are present.

Square Millenium & FFIX Info Postponed (11/13/99)

The Square Millenium event scheduled for 11/23/99 has been postponed until 1/29/00. The likelyhood seems high that official news release on Final Fantasy IX will not be available until that time. For the official release note on the postponement, check http://www.square.co.jp/millennium

Sony Announces Launch of Playstation.com (11/13/99)

Sony announced their plans of launching their new WebSite PlayStation.com.

PlayStation.com will be centered on product sales relation to the PSX & PSX2, including the machine, 3rd party software, controllers, and other peripherals. Miscellaneous services will be available as well.

PlayStation.com will be launched on 3/4/00, simultaneously with the release of the PlayStation2.

Strider Hiryu 2 announced for the PS (11/13/99)

Strieder Hiryu 2 scheduled for the arcade in the upcoming December, has already been anounced for future release on the PlayStation.

Strider Hiryu 2 is the sequel to the hit game Strider Hiryu, which made its debut in the arcades 10 years ago. In addition to improved graphics and new action movements, Strider2 also features new characters<Image> and a new system known as "boost".

Strider2 for the Playstation will be coupled with the original Strider1.<Image> The release date and Price is not yet determined, the game will be released in 2 disks.

Additional Garou Details and Images (11/10/99)

Extra additional images of Garou-Mark of the Wolves-, has been released by SNK.
In addition, some minor details have been released reguarding the game.

Gatou
The Chinese martial artist, is not of Chinese nationality. This may haverelation to his ending. Gatou's Voice is done by Kouji Ishii, the same voice actor as Ryuji Yamazaki of the Fatal Fury and King Of Fighters sereis.

Hokutomaru
The 14 year old Shiranui ninja is not the son of Andy and Mai. Whether blood related or not, Hokutomaru refers to Mai as a "sister".

Kim Dong-Phwan'-
Voice is done by Hisashi Hashimoto, the same voice actor as Last Blade's Lee Rekka and Moriya.

Freeman
Voice is done by Eiji Yano, the voice actor of Shirou Amakusa in the Samurai Shodown series.

Game system
All DMs and SDMs (Supers and Potentials) Are done with 2 Quarter circles and one button.

News on NeocD Version KOF99 (11/05/99)

The NeoGeo CD version of King Of Fighters 99 has been announced for release on 12/2/99.
In addition to the shortcut mode, the NeoGeo CD version also comes with loading images, demo & ending gallery, art gallery, and new 1 shot picture endings for arranged teamups.

KOF99 for the NeoGeoCd is scheduled for 12/2, priced at 6800 yen.
